Our glass balustrades are engineered with 12mm toughened safety glass as standard for balustrade infill panels, with 15mm and 19mm options available for exposed or high-load applications such as coastal decks and elevated balconies. Every panel is toughened to AS/NZS 2208 and processed in our Auckland facility to ensure consistent optical clarity and structural performance.

All Osprey Glass balustrade systems are designed to satisfy NZ Building Code Clause B1 (Structure) and Clause F4 (Safety from Falling), with barrier heights and interstitial gaps verified against AS/NZS 1170. We provide compliance documentation for every installation, including engineering specifications and producer statements where required for council sign-off.

Our certified installation begins with an on-site measure and substrate assessment, followed by precision fabrication in our Auckland workshop. Installers then anchor the channel, spigots, or framing to your deck or staircase, set each toughened glass panel, and finish with sealing and a final alignment check. Most residential balustrade installations are completed within one to two days with minimal disruption.

Absolutely. We specify 316 marine-grade stainless steel spigots and fittings, along with powder-coated aluminium channels rated for coastal exposure, so our glass balustrades perform beautifully on Auckland's waterfront and in exposed marine environments. Regular fresh-water rinsing is all that's needed to keep fittings looking pristine.

Glass balustrade pricing typically ranges from $500 to $1,500 per linear metre installed, depending on the system style, glass thickness, substrate, and access. Aluminium-framed glass offers excellent value from $500 per metre, while the frameless channel system sits at the premium end up to $1,500 per metre. We provide a fixed, itemised quote after your on-site measure. Prices exclude GST.

Maintenance is straightforward — clean the glass with a soft cloth and mild detergent every few weeks, rinse stainless fittings with fresh water in coastal settings, and inspect the channel or spigot seals annually. We supply a care guide with every installation and offer an annual inspection service to keep your balustrade performing and looking its best.

Every Osprey Glass balustrade carries a 10-year structural warranty on the aluminium and stainless components, a 7-year warranty on toughened glass against manufacturing defects, and a 5-year workmanship warranty on the installation. Full warranty terms are provided in writing with your completion documentation.
