Campbells Bay is one of the quieter beach suburbs — less through-traffic, more established family homes on decent sections. That means the decks we work on here tend to be larger and the balustrade runs longer. The homes are mostly originals being renovated as families grow into them, so a lot of the work is retrofitting a new balustrade onto an existing deck. Side-fixed spigots are my usual recommendation here — we can fix to the existing edge without rebuilding the structure, which keeps the job efficient and the cost sensible.

The cost difference is small and the lifespan difference is significant.
